Birmingham History Day

An event looking at the history of Birmingham, including sessions on the contribution of Muslim soldiers to Britain's army.

Children will present their views of Birmingham's past and museum staff will explore how developments at Aston Hall will transform the house and park. Izzy Mohammed will examine engaging with the heritages of Birmingham's diverse communities and there will be presentations by Pam Williams (Quaker Trail), Andy Green (Birmingham Stories) and Jahan Mahmood (the contribution of Muslim soldiers to Britain's army). The life and significance of Matthew Boulton will be considered by Malcolm Dick.
