Add an IRR newswire to your site

The IRR allows non-commercial web operations to enhance their site by copying our headlines and the first paragraph of articles from the IRR news network. You must also include a link to the full article on the IRR site. You may do this by manually adding the headline and first paragraph on to your own site or, alternatively, you can install an automatic news feed, either using Javascript or RSS.

To use the Javascript news feed, all you need to do is copy a line of code into the HTML of your page. No 'server-side' coding is required and the news feed appears in the style of your own website. The news feed provides the article titles and a brief summary of the ten most recent news stories from IRR. Links are provided to the full text on the IRR site.

The code to add a Javascript news feed is below:

<script src="http://www.irr.org.uk/js/news.js" type="text/javascript" language="javascript"></script>

This code can be copied into your HTML where you want the news feed to appear on the page. The code tells the browser to open the current IRR 'Javascript' which contains the headlines.

Alternatively you may prefer to use RSS technology to syndicate IRR News stories, if your site has RSS capabilities. A link to the IRR News RSS file is here: XML

Any non-commercial website may add a feed from IRR News to its site but we reserve the right to refuse any site permission to use this facility. Please contact us if you plan to use the news feed.
