The extreme-Right in local and central government

Recent years have seen successes for extreme-Right anti-immigration parties in Austria, France, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Denmark and Switzerland. The IRR's European Race Bulletin project is attempting to monitor the level of support far-Right and populist anti-immigration parties enjoy in national, regional and local governments across Europe.

Electoral successes for the far-Right and populist xenophobic parties have serious implications for those of us working at a pan-European level, whether it be in local government, trades unions, voluntary sector organisations, universities or in educational exchange programmes for young people. If a far-Right or xenophobic party enjoys electoral success in your locality, please contact the European Race Bulletin Project.
