Czech anger over Schengen accords

Czech newspapers have criticised the whole way in which the Schengen accords discriminate against Czechs.

'Since yesterday there is once again a curtain separating us from Europe... This time, it is not an iron curtain but a Schengen one', comments the Mlada Fronta Dnes. The Czech daily Lidove Noviny was more philisophical: 'Before the new controls came into place, it was tempting to think that we were already in. In a way this has reminded us what it actually means to be part of Europe - and how far we still have to go'
