Swastika carved onto the forehead of Iranian refugee

By Liz Fekete

1 March 1995

A 53-year-old Iranian refugee had a swastika carved onto his forehead by a racist gang who assaulted him outside the railway station at Zoetermeer on new year's eve.

At first the three men asked the Iranian to help them push their van. But then they turned on him with racist insults, cut his jacket with knives, and beat him over the head.

None of the attackers has yet been found.
