Moscow local election: huge gains for xenophobic party

The extreme rightwing Movement Against Illegal Immigration (DPNI) won 34 per cent of the vote in the Orehovo-Borisovo South area of Moscow in supplementary elections for the municipal council held in May.

This was the first major turnout for the DPNI.
