Police accused of migrant raids to boost statistics

According to a former senior Moscow police officer, Viktor Klimchuk, police officers who cannot be bothered to track down real criminals or who are being forced to meet unrealistic targets, consistently carry out checks on migrant workers, who are often without the correct papers, so as to make up their so-called solved crimes figures.

In addition, officers are often demanding bribes.
