Natasha Matembele came into Forest Gate School in East London as usual on Wednesday morning and told staff she was going to be deported to Angola the next day. Students and teachers then began a campaign against the deportation which eventually drew in the local news, TV and radio. The Home Office was forced to delay the deportation and eventually decided to allow the Matembele family to stay. One of the teachers involved in the campaign was Rosie Mason. |
